I don’t like the idea of Cadence being an alicorn.

Up until she came on the scene, the only alicorns were Celestia and Luna, who are basically the gods in this world. Therefore, we can assume that alicorn = God, not to mention the way ponies use their names (“With Celestia as my witness,” for example). Then comes along Cadence, who really doesn’t fit into that pattern at all. I wouldn’t mind if she was godly in some way, but she’s not. She’s not immortal (or nearly so) like the others, her magic can’t move planets like them, nor does she have any godly duties like them. It just seems like she’s an alicorn to make her special, and that does seem a bit Mary Sue-ish. Hopefully they’ll have a mythology episode later on to clear things up, but until then, it bugs me.

about 40 to 50+ i know some of them, not too sure about Chrysalis, are over a thousand years old, but I like to see them to be a lot older physically, its just my own interpretation 

I was actually pretty unimpressed with the two new episodes.
There seemed to be so much going on, and they didn’t really touch on most of it. For instance, Celestia warned Twilight that fear and anger would bring him back. But Dash was full of anger, and she was terrifying all of the ponies around her.

I always like to think that twilight is celestias secret daughter and she wishes she could love her as a daughter publicly 

I used to be terrified of Princess Celestia, I thought she was horrifying.

I occasionally send my friend a text message about my day and begin it with Dear Princess Celestia, and then sign it as Twilight Sparkle.

Headcanons and fan speculations in any fandom are understandable and are people’s own opinions. But I can’t take it when a fan is willing to ignore canon or if they are in denial about the clear illogical aspects of their theory. It’s like if those attempting to prove that the theory of evolution is fact found conclusive evidence but a group with their own theory dismiss this evidence, oh wait, bad example. :)

There is neither any basis nor reason for this specualtion and in “The Return of Harmony Part 1” Princess Celestia states: “Discord is the mischievous spirit of disharmony.” Clearly announcing that Discord is a spirit.

I prefer Princess Celestia over Luna.

This is more like an unpopular opinions rather than a confession, but I’ve always loved Celestia a lot.
I think she’s a great princess and perfect fulfilling her role. She’s benevolent, fun, and cares a lot for her peopl- er, ponies. 

I see the whole New Lunar Republic kind of silly because Celestia is doing such an amazing job as a ruler, can’t really see anyone else doing it better than her, but that’s just my opinion.

It makes me sad how much hate she gets, specially with the whole “hurr she sent Luna to the moon!”, she did that to protect Equestria, and it wasn’t even Luna, it was Nightmare Moon, and even so, she was very reluctant to do it, as stated in the pilot episode. On a side note, NM wasn’t ON the moon, she was IN the moon, and wans’t concious during those 1000 years.

Another thing I don’t understand is why people say their prefer Luna because she at least “has a personality”. Newsflash, Celes does too, we just lack an episode centered around her to see it clearly but we’ve seen a lot of it already and you can’t deny it’s there.

And last thing; She’s not a tyrant, she’s not evil, I personally love the “Do you like bananas? To the moooon be-yecth!” jokes and the “Obey!” image macros, among others, but it’s not canon and people can’t use that as an excuse to hate her. Just take the scene with the Cakes for example, yes the one with the tea. That fake sip she did wasn’t to troll them, she saw how nervous they were by being on her presence and wanted to calm the atmosphere, show them it’s all okay and to chill n’ have fun. So she does have good intentions. She isn’t evil.

I could go on forever explaining every point but I don’t want to make it longer OTL :(

Don’t get me wrong, I love Luna a lot too, but Celestia is just so amazing in my opinion, I think all the hate she gets is uncalled for.
