personally, as both a brony and a huge power puff fan, i think that if the internet was more accessible and/or powerful ten years ago or something, the power puff girls would have the same kind of colossal fan base that MLP has.

i also can’t help but look at all the similarities. the episodes “hearts and hooves day” and “putting your hoof down” where inspired by the power puff episodes “keen on Keane” and “bubblevicious”. the mane 6 and the CMC are also in one way or another were inspired by the girls themselves and the humor and over all tune is very similar.

I used to like FlutterMac…

I used to love FlutterMac, because the way the fans always portrayed them reminded me of my boyfriend and I. Well, now ex-boyfriend. He broke up with me a week before Valentine’s Day. Seeing the Hearts and Hooves Day episode just reminded me more that he broke up with me to see other people.

Now, I can’t look at any FlutterMac, or any Mac pairings without feeling sad. It’s been 2 weeks since the break-up and I still feel miserable…

I really hope Big Mac and Fluttershy get together. Hearts and Hooves Day almost ruined my Fluttermac fanon ship and I’m glad it didn’t.

Hearts and Hooves Day

I didn’t like Big Mac until I watched Hearts and Hooves day. In fact, now I think he and Cheerilee make an adorable couple.

I REALLY like Cheerilee.

When I saw the “Hearts and Hooves Day” episode, suddenly Van Halen plays in my head: “Got it bad, got it bad, got it bad… I’m hot for teacher!”

the reason I like Hearts & Hooves Day was because I felt the same way I did when watching love episodes in old cartoons, disgusted. I love that feeling from nostalgia and makes me love the show more

Big Mac scared me when he spoke more than one word in “Hearts and Hooves Day”.

I disliked the CMC more than I ever have because of “Hearts and Hooves”

I am possibly going to be hated on for saying this, so I’ll try my best to go into a detailed review of the episode itself: I wasn’t a fan of the CMC, I thought they were “okay” but partially annoying due to the fact that they try to force everything they can just to get what they want,
(like trying to force a way of life just to “fit in”) I didn’t like how the CMC episodes mainly showed them embarrassing themselves just to get their cutie marks, and when watching the episode they were making Big Macintosh and Cheerilee embarrass themselves in public as well, and I was literally going “no no no no” while facepalming at the same time, the fact that the date thing didn’t work the first time you would think they figured they weren’t good for each other, but no; they just try to go through the making of a dangerous love potion
(which I doubt they are even old enough to do) just to force them to love each other, that has to be the most selfish thing to do, ever.
Also I see fans complaining about how Big Macintosh “doesn’t have enough lines” and that the pet names don’t count, I don’t really like the fact they say this, I mean; to me it’s his THING, making him talk more often would (to me) ruin his character.
I hope I don’t get hated on for stating an opinion, people may say I’m trolling or ignorant, but I’m 100% honest with this and I really just want to get something out of my chest.
All in all, I think the CMC are annoying brats.
