(01/27/12) when I started watching MLP I feared clopping and thought it evil. But since then I learned its justa vag on a different body… Thankfully it’s just candy colored ponies and not actual horses.

I also write grimdark fics… But only because I learned of cupcakes now I try and be as horrible and gruesome as possible… Even so far as making rarity yank off sweeties head and empale her horn through her heart…

I am an evil person….

While the disputes over rule 34 and gore in the fandom bother me, I’m much more bothered by an attitude a lot of bronies have that you can’t have a rational debate over a disagreement. In the chat I like to hang out in, it seems like every time people start to have a discussion with any degree of disagreement, someone freaks out and makes them drop the subject. As someone who likes to make my opinions known in as respectful way as I can, I get pretty pissed off when I’m stifled in this way. I think it’s a side effect of the whole “love and tolerance” thing. People who can’t deal with any amount of disagreement bother me more than those whose opinions I completely disagree with.

I love MLP:FiM and the fandom, but I also am a conservative politically.  I don’t hate anyone, I’m very tolerant of everyone and respect their opinions, and I don’t push my politics in the fandom.  But I fear that if it ever got out I was conservative, love and tolerance would be tossed out the window.  I think it’s harder to come out as a conservative in the fandom than it is as a R34 or grimdark artist.

I don’t understand why people keep on writing grim/tragic stories about ponies.

It bugs me that so many people were willing to try “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic”, but those same bronies refuse to give “Puella Magi Madoka Magica” a chance.

I’m a fan of both shows, and if you hate grimdark you probably wouldn’t like Madoka at all, but still…
