I personally hate some of the popular background ponies’ fan-names. Namely: Colgate, Sparkler, Dr. Whooves, Dolphin Dream, and Carrot Top amongst others. 

I don’t understand why some people feel that the toy names for Lyra, Carrot Top, etc. count as their official character names. Does everyone just ignore that the toys also call Trixie ‘Lulamoon’? They’re hardly reliable. 2/18/12

I lied at first when telling my friends I was a brony, but then I actually started watching the show.

She’s not retarded, she’s clumsy. I just can’t believe that people are writing letters and protesting her. Perhaps some people are taking a children’s show a tad too seriously.

Seeing the fandom talk about fanfiction so much makes me wonder if I’m missing something, but I have literally zero desire to get involved. I’ve never been part of a fanfiction-heavy fandom before. Maybe I’m just being neophobic. It feels like everypony but me reads fanfics.

Mind, it also feels like half the fandom complains about their quality.
