Pony Confessions

Appledash is my favourite ship because it reminds me of my boyfriend and I. His favourite pony is Applejack and mine is Rainbow Dash so I can’t help but associate it with us.

I loved it when Applejack and Rainbow Dash got tickled in Magic Duel and even enjoy pictures of ponies being tickled.

The sheer amount of shipping in the fandom annoys me to no end. I mean, I get that shipping exists, and that doesn’t bother me. It’s that two ponies look at each other and half the fans go “It’s canon!”

I saw a post after Magic Duel with a picture of Applejack comforting Rarity in that pink blanket after Trixie gave her the wrong color outfit and forced a major breakdown, and the tagline was something to the effect of “The Hub’s giving us so much RariJack today!” They were on screen for two seconds and nothing remotely romantic happened in that time. That does not make them a canon ship.

So make your pairings, celebrate them, draw them, write about them, but don’t try to tell me Lyra and Bon-Bon is a canon ship, because the only truly canon ships in the show are Shining Armor-Cadence, Mr. and Mrs. Cake, and Twilight’s, Rarity’s and Pinkie Pie’s parents. No one else has been established as a couple.

I’ve been stressed out from studying for exams recently, but MLP has taught me how to deal with it. Twilight: Study hard. Applejack: Don’t give up. Rainbow: Do your best, stay focused. Fluttershy: Stay calm. Rarity: Be prepared. Pinkie: Don’t worry.

When Twilight Sparkle claimed she could turn a mare into a stallion and Applejack’s expression turned into one of horrified realization, I felt a little turned on.

I don’t know why; I’ve never been turned on by the show itself before nor anything related to R63. I feel really uncomfortable about it.

I think Applejack is way more over obsessed than Fluttershy.

I’d like to believe that the main six’s elements ARE their special talents. Like how Rarity was so generous with the creativity, time, and work she put into the dresses for the play, how she spent hours trying to make them perfect/ How Rainbow Dash stuck by a fellow pegasus and pushed to the limit to win a race for both of them/ Applejack being honest with not only herself, but to her family about who she really is and where she wants to be in her life.

I’m just too nervous to tell anyone about my theory for the possibility of being put down.

I hope there will be more episodes about Applejack in season 3. Because at this point, she seems more like a background character than actually part of the mane six.
