This is kind of a long story but it has a point, i swear.

Last night at work I was bringing people their food when I slipped in a puddle of water and spilled their food everywhere, I felt so bad for the people who had been waiting for their food when some guys walked up to the counter and said, “hey there are tenders that didn’t even touch the floor, can I have them herp derp” and I was like “okay! herpy derpy derp” he was just about to pick one up when my manger comes stomping towards us and said, “You can’t have those.” The dude was like, “The other girl [meaning me] said I could.” So my manger freaked out a little bit and was like, “You don’t listen to HER. You listen to ME. *I* am the manger. SHE’S just an employee.” So the guy was like, ” Why are you freaking out? It’s not a big deal.” And my manger said, “REALLY? REALLY? SERIOUSLY, REALLY?” And this poor guy was so confused. We all were. We had no idea why she was so upset over this, and then she’s like, “Get out. You need to get out. GET OUT. GET OUT NOW.” Right after those guys left (we lost about for sales because of her) she was complaining about what just happened and she said, “I handled it correctly!’ I was like, “”uh.. yeaaaaaaah >.>” She then asked me what she did wrong and I told her that if I were her I would’ve said that I can’t give them the food on the floor because it’s a health hazard, but I will be happy to take your order. Apparently she saw the incident much differently than my friend (who is also a manager) and I did because she was like, “that’s what I said and they started being assholes.” My friend stepped in and said that she overreacted a bit. So, then she starts screaming at my friend saying, “DO YOU KNOW WHAT I’VE BEEN THROUGH TONIGHT? DO YOU WANT TO DO MY JOB? DO YOU WANT TO DO INVENTORY? DO YOU WANT TO COUNT DRAWERS?” I was like, “Why are you getting so mad about this?” Then she said, “DO YOU THINK YOU CAN DO MY JOB BETTER THAN ME?” So I responded by saying, “I pretty much do your job anyway.” Which is true— she ignores her duties to talk to other employees for hours, sit in the office,  and be on her phone. When I work with her, I have to do everything that is supposed to be done before closing.

(I also just want to say that I wasn’t yelling at her or even saying this in a nasty tone. Imagine: Fluttershy.)

She turned to me and said, “IF YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE AN ATTITUDE LIKE THIS THEN I DON’T EVEN WANT YOU HERE.”

So I said okay, got my stuff from the break table, clocked out and left.

My manager does stuff like this all the time. It’s like an abusive relationship and I finally had enough. I refuse to have someone speak to me the way that she did, when they have no reason to do so.

My boss called me this morning and asked what happened and, I was happy to find out that she wasn’t even mad at me for walking out. ANYWAY, she moved me from working five days a week to two or three days a week until I move. Because this I might be more active over the next few weeks but I still I a lot of stuff I need to buy for the apartment I am getting, I need to pack, I have a baby shower to go to, and I think next week I am going to Adventureland.

But tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday I am closing so I know I will not want to do anything. Because of this I am turning on confessions tonight! :D

Have a great early weekend, everyone! <3 <3 <3 <3
